If you become a client of mine then my services are available to you throughout the year and therefore most services are charged monthly.
Self-Assessment Tax Returns
For clients whose only source of income is employment the the standard fee is £75. This service is only provided at this fee from April to November each year.
If you require the tax return completing in December then the fee is £150. If you require your tax return completing in January please contact me for prices and availability. Tax returns for sole traders and partners in a partnership will be covered by the fees for producing the annual accounts.
The fees for providing a bookkeeping service will include any fees for completing annual accounts and associated tax returns, corporation tax returns VAT Returns and filing with HMRC, Companies House and the Charity Commission as required.
Payroll will also be included where staff are employed.

Annual Company Accounts
This service is to provide compliant statutory accounts from records maintained by yourselves. A first year fee is required to produce the first set of accounts. The fee for the second set of accounts is the equivalent of twelve monthly payments ending at the year end date. If you require a bookkeeping service please refer to separate pricing.
Sole director and shareholder primarily selling services with limited expenses, no payroll and not VAT registered - first year fee from £450 then £40 per month thereafter.
Sole director and shareholder primarily selling services with limited expenses, upto three staff and not VAT registered - first year fee from £500 then £50 per month thereafter.
Sole director and shareholder primarily selling services with significant purchases, upto three staff and not VAT registered - first year fee from £600 then £55 per month thereafter.
Additional directors - first year fee £120 then £10 per month thereafter.
If VAT registered - additional first year fee of £150 then £25 per month thereafter.
Annual Charity Accounts (non charitable companies)
The following fees are for producing an annual set of compliant accounts where incomplete records have been maintained. Typically this will be where some form of bookkeeping has been kept but is limited to tracking bank statement items. A separate independent examination will be required.
Receipts and payments accounts:
Annual gross income less than £100,000 - £150
Annual gross income £100,000 or more - £250
Statement of Recommended Practice compliant accounts:
Annual gross income less than £250,000 - £400

A typical Excel spreadsheet solution consisting of a purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash book and journals is available to meet most needs of sole traders, small limited companies and small charities.
A typical solution in Microsoft Excel using ODBC connections to connect to your accounting system. This enables you to have tailored management accounting reports comparing budgets versus actual, month by month and prior year comparisons all with a single refresh of your accounting data. This solution is suitable, for example, for users of SAGE or Access Dimensions accounting software. The price for this can range from £150 to £1,000 depending on complexity.
Microsoft Excel based financial modelling with perpetual use and three months support. This is typically used to generate annual budgets and business plans. The price for this can range from £150 to £1,000 depending upon complexity.
Coming soon are a number of applications written using the FileMaker database management system. These solutions will be available on both the Mac and Windows operating systems. They will include:

- Petty Cash Imprest Systems
- Sole trader accounts
- Receipts and Payments Accounts
- Full double entry accounting system
Independent Examinations Of Charity Accounts
If your charity maintain your own accounting records then I am able to independently examine them. The Charity Commission recognise and accept that an independent examiner will often take a set of accounts completed to the trial balance stage and then complete a compliant set of accounts from it. This does not compromise the independence. However if the accounts are incomplete and the examiner has to make significant changes simply to make them accurate then this would compromise the independence.
